Robert M. Ritzwoller, CPA, MBA

Robert has a very diverse career which includes serving the taxation needs of small business owners, and investors in both real estate and financial instruments. His primary focus is on providing personal and business tax planning services to both individuals and businesses. Robert has extensive knowledge of personal, fiduciary, partnership, and corporate tax rules and regulations. As a Certified Public Accountant with a Masters in Business Administration and a certified paralegal, Robert is very knowledgeable in the areas of business entity selection and the advantages and disadvantages of each. As an experienced Quickbooks user and instructor with the SBDC in Lake County, he provides accounting and bookkeeping services to clients. Finally, as the creator of the Small Business Advantage Program™, he helps small businesses reduce their tax burden.

Robert earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in December 1979. Robert completed his Masters of Business Administration at the University of Illinois in March 1983. His majors were in Finance and Quantitative Methods with a minor in Accounting. He was granted a CPA certification by the State of Illinois in September 1989. He also is a certified paralegal and a licensed Illinois life and health insurance producer. As a licensed health insurance producer, Robert has extensive knowledge of the rules and regulations that are part of the Affordable Care Act.

Robert’s background includes four years as the Assistant Controller at a midsize bank holding company and almost sixteen years as an independent business owner. He also has over seven years experience as the manager of the Tax and Accounting department of a large financial planning firm in Northern Lake County.

Among his many professional affiliations, Robert maintains memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Illinois CPA Society, and the Northern Illinois Real Estate Association.
